ABBA, rock & roll, jigs and reels, you name it and Michelle will play it!

The professional accordionist Michelle McDermott lives in South Kent and has performed publicly since the age of 15. She has a vast repertoire as she can play either by ear or by reading music.

Michelle’s music can be tailored to suit any event and her Vignoni accordion can be played acoustically with no amplification for a small intimate venue or, for a bigger venue but still keeping an acoustic sound, it is equipped with a radio microphone pick-up system. A full midi system enables extra sounds such as drums, bass or strings to be added.

Michelle has played with numerous well-known musicians in the UK and abroad, The Dubliners being just one of many, and spends much of her time playing, recording, writing and arranging music. As well as performing solo, she is currently also playing keyboards and accordion in a female duo called Alison & Michelle.
